Preaching the unsearchable riches of Christ.
Ephesians 3:8
We exist to “tell” and to “teach”. We want to tell people about Jesus Christ so that they will find forgiveness and life in Him. We want to teach people about Jesus Christ so that they will grow in their love for Him and their likeness to Him.
We invite you to join us so that together we might explore the “unsearchable riches of Christ”
(Ephesians 3:8), and we hope that when you spend time with us, you will find the love of Christ
in our hearts, and the kindness of Christ in our hands. At Providence, we are seeking to shine
the light of Jesus into the hearts and lives of the people God brings our way. We hope you are
one of those people!
The Gospel
Early in the 20th century the London Times asked the question: “What is wrong with the world
today?” G. K. Chesterton reportedly replied: “Dear Sir, I am. Sincerely, G. K. Chesterton.” What
he was saying was that mankind’s fundamental problem was mankind’s essential sinfulness.
You and I are sinners by nature and practice. This is bad news, for God will judge sinners. The
good news of Christianity is that Jesus came into the world to save sinners. “You shall call His
name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). We Christians live to
tell people about this good news.
